Through a series of training episodes in the Community service branch that was done by Laylac Center for college students, five female students from Alquds Open University made a study focusing on two regions in Palestine to seek for educational needs. Both cities Bethlehem and particularly Doha were targeted, especially including those of functioning institutions, shops, and so on to be studied on, and according to that, these five college students decided to enhance reading in the region under the logo of “Yes to raise reading awareness”. The students coordinated with the libraries in the Conservatism, as well with Doha Municipality, that is led by Mayor Mr. Khalid Mahboob, and the schools in order to provide the necessary needs for the advancement of their idea, to be later arranging meetings between the schools in order to promote the spirit of reading with students through group reading, so it can build a relationship between the students and the library. It is worth mentioning that the Palestinian writer dreams of stories Professor Ahlam Bisharat has done extensively discussions with students at the invitation based on her writings to enhance the idea of reading. The meetings were attended by nearly 100 student, in addition to the presence of the Doha Municipality and school teachers. This will lead to continuous debatable discussions with the Palestinian writers, and novelists even after the end of social services of these students, whereas a committee of supervisors was formulated in the Laylac Center in order to ensure the continuity of this worthwhile and creative work, knowing that this event was in April 2015.
